The Adventure of Max and Bella
Once upon a time, in a peaceful village, lived two best friends: Max, a playful golden retriever, and Bella, a clever border collie. Max was always full of energy, and Bella loved solving puzzles. Together, they made the perfect team.
One sunny afternoon, they decided to explore the nearby forest. As they walked deeper into the woods, Max’s nose twitched. “Bella, I smell something yummy!” Max said excitedly, running off into the bushes.
Bella followed him, and soon they found a big basket of treats under a tree. “This is strange,” Bella said, sniffing around. “Who leaves treats in the forest?” But Max was too excited to think twice. He grabbed a treat and munched happily.
Suddenly, they heard a rustling noise. From behind the trees, a squirrel appeared. “Ah, you found my puzzle!” the squirrel said with a grin. “Those treats are for clever dogs who can solve my riddle.”
Bella’s ears perked up. She loved riddles. “What’s the riddle?” she asked.
The squirrel said, “I have four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three in the evening. What am I?”
Max scratched his head, confused. But Bella thought for a moment and then smiled. “It’s a person! As a baby, they crawl on all fours, as an adult, they walk on two legs, and when they grow old, they use a cane.”
The squirrel clapped its tiny paws. “Correct!” he said. “You’ve earned the basket of treats.”
Max wagged his tail happily. “Bella, you’re so smart!”
They shared the treats and continued their adventure, knowing that with teamwork, they could solve any puzzle the world threw at them.
And from that day on, Max and Bella became the best puzzle-solving duo in the village!
