Sleepy Sammy the Bear

Sleepy Sammy the Bear

Sammy the bear was a very special bear. He loved to sleep more than anything else in the world. "I just love to sleep," he'd often say, yawning.

When the leaves started to fall and the days got shorter, Sammy knew it was time to hibernate. "It's time for my winter nap," he announced to his friends. He found a cozy den in a big, old oak tree and snuggled up inside.

As Sammy drifted off to sleep, he started to dream. "Honeycombs as big as houses!" he dreamed. "And rivers made of chocolate!" His dreams were filled with fun and adventure.

When Sammy woke up from his long winter's nap, he felt rested and ready to explore the forest. "Look at all the green!" he exclaimed. "And the flowers! They're blooming."

Sammy spent the summer collecting berries and nuts to eat during his winter sleep. "I need to be prepared," he said to himself. He also made sure his den was warm and cozy.

When the days started to get shorter again, Sammy knew it was time to go back to sleep. "It's time for my winter nap again," he sighed happily.

As he drifted off to sleep, Sammy thought about all the wonderful things he had seen and done during the year. "I'm so grateful," he thought. "For my friends, my family, and the beautiful forest." And most of all, he was thankful for the gift of sleep.

Lesson: Sammy the bear taught us that it's okay to rest and recharge. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is to close our eyes and let our minds wander. So, the next time you feel tired, remember Sammy and take a nap!
